The Lightly Padded Maya Wrap is getting rave reviews at the moment for comfort and ease of use. The redesigned shoulder has light padding for extra comfort without making it bulky. Customers are recommending it as the perfect sling for new babywearers. (This is a photo of the original sling without the padding, the padding just provides that extra comfort across the shoulder and makes minimal difference to the look of the sling)
It is made in Guatemala and is a hand-loomed breathable, hardwearing fabric made in ethical conditions under fair trade policies.
It fits newborn to toddler (up to 35 lbs) and has a very useful zipped pocket for purse, phone, keys etc and is machine washable. (100% cotton) It would be advisable to pre-wash the sling to remove any excess dye.
Available in the following sizes -
- Small - Below 5' 2" and slender
- Medium - 5' 2" - 5' 9"
- Large - 5' 9" and above
The only difference in the sizes, is the length. Buying a large size will mean the tail will come further down your leg and the medium size will mean it will come nearer your hip. The extra fabric can be very useful for breastfeeding in public!
