Conventionally tanned, from non-organic lambs.

These luxury sheepskins have been tanned to European Safety Standards for use with babies. They have been tested to be certified free of any harmful chemicals or heavy metals and no chrome is used in the tanning.

With its natural insulation properties, sheepskin stays warm in winter but cool in summer. It's softness gives baby a sense of comfort and security, whether it's on the floor or under you and your baby in bed. Researchers reporting in the British Medical Journal The Lancet have found that wool has a soothing, swaddling effect on babies, resulting in better sleep, reduced stress, greater contentment and improved weight gain.

Machine washable at 30°, on a wool cycle, with wool shampoo. Line dry, out of the sun. Recondition the fibres every few washes, with lanolin. Wool shampoo and lanolin available in the Laundry Dept. Basically though, sheepskin is self cleaning and is refreshed just by hanging out in the fresh air. Approximately between 31-35" or 80-90cm long (each lamb is different!)
